Barcelona, Spain

Our last night of the Transatlantic cruise with our server Melroy, head server Caio, and assistant server Carlos. (The good news that we didn't know at the time, was that we were going to have them all again on the next cruise!
Do you have a favorite server on the Magic or Wonder?

Around Barcelona
Some beautiful buildings on the walk back the shuttle to go back to the ship. This area of the city was very beautiful!

Above: more Las Ramblas
Below: We didn't go down this side street, but I had to take a picture of how CROWDED it was!

Down in the metros, they had beautiful mosiacs of popular city attractions.

Above: Some closer detail of La Sagrada church...this was way up high
The official entrance although I liked the other side of the church better. Gaudi sure had some WEIRD ideas...but very unique to say the least.... Above: The newly constructed section....still being worked on.

La Sagrada de Familia....still under construction. It looked about the same as it did in 2007

Above: A Gaudi inspired building along Las Ramblas. It was not done by Gaudi, but the entire facade was covered in vibrant ceramic tiles. It was still pretty impressive.

Walking along Las Ramblas. It was a holiday there, kind of like Valentine's day. The guy buys the girl a rose, and the girl buys her guy a book, like a valentine's exchange. Las Ramblas was FILLED with all flower shops and book shops, we didn't see anything else. We walked a ways down, but it was so crowded, and just the same things over and over, flowers and books, that we called it quits and went on the metro instead. I was really looking forward to seeing the street performers, but unless they were farther down, we didn't see any. :(

They did fireworks for us again when we arrived in Barcelona, but it was much shorter than 2007's. They were still fun to watch though! I have some video, I will try and post it later.
